How to Restore a Backup

Restore is intended for users who want to bring Trailstone data back into the app from a previously created backup.

Planned steps

1. Open Trailstone.
2. Open the menu and choose Backup & Restore.
3. Select Restore Backup.
4. Choose the backup file you previously created.
5. Follow the in-app instructions to complete the restore.
6. Review your entries after restore to confirm the expected data appears.

Before restoring

• Make sure you are using the correct backup file.
• Keep a separate copy of important backups before replacing or importing data.
• Do not import backup files from people or sources you do not trust.
